FEEN/FAIRIES

The five performers of FEEN // FAIRIES set out to trace their own mechanisms for dealing with discrimination in their everyday lives. Two soft gym mats accompany the interaction with the audience, in which the performers dodge, withdraw, hunch their bodies, and move backwards. The powerlessness of being pushed back, the feeling of the queer-feminist backlash of our current time, sometimes makes them falter, sometimes stumble—yet they always move forward, or backward, with vigilance and caution.
